生活型

形態特徵

Deciduous medium-sized trees to large shrubs with glabrous branches, the branchlets with numerous yellowish-gray lenticels.
Leaves membranaceous, ovate to broadly ovate, 10–15 cm long, 6–9 cm wide, caudate-acuminate at apex, rounded or cordate at base, sharply serrate, entire or variously lobed, subscaberulous above, nearly glabrous or soft-hairy beneath; petioles 1–2 cm long.
Male catkins 1.5–3 cm long, perianth 4-lobed, lobes oblong, hairy, stamens 4. FeMale spikes 1–1.5 cm long, perianth obovate, styles longer, hairy, stigmas 2-fid.
Syncarps long oblong or cylindric-ellipsoid, 2–2.5 cm long, red to dark violet at maturity; achenes enclosed in the enlarged succulent perianths.

分布

台灣 : Common at low to medium altitudes.
世界 : Mainland China, Japan, the Ryukyus, Korea, the Philippines, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim and Myanmar.
